Enrique Aguirre is an award winning wildlife and and nature photographer.
Biography
Photography has been an integral part of Enrique's life since he was 14 and started doing his own b&w processing, and in the year 2000 Enrique began a project to document the wildlife of the coastal areas of the Atlantic Ocean.
From Arctic Norway to the Antarctic Peninsula, from the Straits of Gibraltar to the Caribbean, he has traveled to locations such as the Gulf of St Lawrence in Canada to photograph harp seals, South Georgia in the Southern Atlantic to work with the wandering albatross or the Silver Banks to snorkel with humpback whales.
Available for licensing through various image banks and photo libraries (see the 'contact' page for details), his images are published regularly in books, magazines and calendars as well as on Fotonatura where he collaborates writing short articles.
Clients/Publications include: Apple inc., National Geographic Adventure, National Geographic Online, Outdoor Photogrpaher Magazine, Nature, Nature's Best, The Humane Society, Santa Cruz Sentinel, Footprint Guides, Anaya Guides, Iris, etc.
Enrique currently lives in San Francisco, California, and when he isn't behind the camera or his Mac he is diving, hiking, swimming, running, trying to find the best eggs Benedict in town or catching up on sleep.
